In 2013, Drakeley Pool Company collaborated with Landscape Architects Dirk and Sam Sabin on a Hudson Valley backyard renovation. The house, located in Clinton Corners, New York, was an old factory given a contemporary streamlining as it was remodled into a home. Both Drakeley Pools and Sabin Landscaping took the home’s modern appeal into consideration when designing the outdoor living space which includes a vanishing edge pool, spa, and open-sided fireplace.
The project’s details were selected so the pool area would relate to the surrounding buildings, the property’s plantings, and topography. “We wanted the pool to fit into its environment rather than stick out,” Bill Drakeley explained.
